The doctor’s scalpel has gone inside the womb to bring healing. This amazing work is now possible by outstanding medical and scientific discoveries about the relationship between a mother and her baby. A mom’s blood flows to every part of her body except the fetus. Not a drop enters the child. The baby can even have a different blood type. That’s the miracle of the placenta. A mother’s skin tissue can be grafted onto a wound anywhere else but not onto the skin of the unborn child. There it would be rejected as foreign matter. Yet the surgeons can operate and bring healing inside her womb long before her due date. The genes in a lady’s hand are identical to every other part of her
body except the baby she’s carrying. There the genes are similar but not
the same. Different heart beat, different brain wave activity, different
facial structures are factors pointing to a long-known, but widely abused
conclusion. How many of these medical facts would I have to name before everyone accepts that the unborn baby can never be considered a part of a woman’s body? Science challenges the old lie about abortion being a woman’s rights issue. The thumb sucking, limb twitching little boy or girl inside the safety of the womb wall from the moment of conception onwards was never a part of someone else’s body. Medicine prevents us from denying that the unborn baby is human. That of course doesn’t prevent us from refusing the consequences of the new information. All over the world ultra-sound imaging machines are changing the way mom’s think about abortion. The new pictures are so much clearer that the mother sees a baby – not the blob of tissue that the old lie tried so hard to establish. The liars haven’t gone away. Some of them are running for office in the next election. Find them and give them the kind of vote they deserve. There are some that grow uneasy at this point. What gives a pastor the notion that he can challenge the law of this great country? Wrong laws need right responses. Besides this law was never tested at the polling station. It was foisted onto us by a handful of legal robes when it came wrapped up in the old deception. One day there will be enough clear thinkers in Washington who will in humble repentance change the name of the abortion industry. It is Infanticide. That day may be a way off yet, but there’s something you can do about it in this election. Send a clear message that despite the many other vital issues you will never vote for a candidate that keeps lying about what abortion really is. Tell your representative that taking the most innocent of all American lives is not a suitable way to wriggle out of the consequences of a conception that could have been prevented. We love extremes and that’s why some minds will run to the rape scenario to try and justify the millions of other ending of baby’s lives for convenience or "standard of living." While TV debates scramble to get voters to consider pretended and possibly even some real murders in Iraq the death of 40 million Americans here at home goes without comment. This is not a woman’s reproduction rights issue. The problem at its heart is not overpopulation but overcopulation. Our children don’t need more lessons on birth control. They need more training in self-control and don’t you dare lay that responsibility on the schoolteacher. At breakfast with my friend the administrator we discussed how the school could never take the place of the home. The tragedy of abortion is only one generation of home trained, morally grounded, self disciplined teenagers away from being solved. Talk to a young person about it today. Do it well. Do it again tomorrow. Do it whenever they will listen. The Bible tells you to impress God’s ways on your children with these words: "talk about them when you sit at home, and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." You get the implication. |
