Foreword: (from Volume One of Soul Food)
"The Lord trusted me with messages to print in a weekly newspaper column called Soul Food. Many times I have written in response to situations inside the USA and as such those articles, when printed in this book, will have a dated feel. Some have been omitted for that very reason.
Most of these essays were penned to reach the secular mind of the people of Unterdaon County. I have drawn from science, history, human interest, archaeology and travel in an effort to open minds to spiritual realities.
The arrangement of the material in this book is intended to follow the newspaper pattern. That's to say that the articles are intended to stand alone and that they have no bearing on these before or after. On the other hand it will soon be apparent to the reader that I see life through well-defined lenses.
I make no apology for this. It is the result of 3 decades of applying the Bible to everyday life. I have a mind that thas been schooled in the Scriptures. I have not written each work to be a doctrinal teaching, but the central; doctrines of my faith have touched each writing.
I publish these daily readings in the hope that they will be a blessing to you."
